The final workshop of the sprint, held on June 8 and facilitated by Gaurav Shrestha, addressed the critical themes of “Competitive Positioning and Pitch Deck & Storytelling.” This session represented the culmination of weeks of intensive work, focusing on how our teams can effectively communicate their unique value proposition to the broader world. A brilliant idea, if not articulated with precision and passion, rarely achieves its potential, and this workshop provided the essential rhetorical skills to ensure our innovators were prepared for the professional stage.
Understanding one’s distinct place in the market is vital for any emerging venture. In the Competitive Positioning module, the teams performed a comprehensive analysis of the current industry landscape to identify their unique advantage—the “moat” that effectively protects them from competitors. This deep-dive analysis helped them refine their pitch by highlighting exactly why they are differentiated and objectively superior to existing solutions. By clearly defining their competitive edge, the teams gained the necessary clarity to handle difficult, probing questions from potential investors, mentors, and industry stakeholders.
The second half of the day was dedicated to the sophisticated art of the Pitch Deck and Storytelling. Gaurav explained that a successful pitch is never merely a static collection of slides; it is a narrative journey that must connect emotionally with its audience while maintaining logical consistency. Students learned how to structure their decks strategically, starting with the identification of the problem, moving to the introduction of their unique solution, and concluding with a clear, inspiring vision for the future. The workshop provided practical, hands-on training on public speaking techniques, visual slide design, and the effective delivery of key data points. This was the final, critical piece of the puzzle, equipping teams with the professional capability to articulate their growth journey with poise, clarity, and immense impact. As the incubation sprint reaches its final stages, these teams are now fully prepared to take their validated prototypes to the public, telling their stories to the world with the confidence required of modern entrepreneurs.
